The City of Rockford hired Fehr Graham to oversee construction on 11th Street this summer. The $29.3 million project includes pavement reconstruction, new off-street multiuse paths, signal upgrades, pedestrian lighting, new water mains and lead service line replacements beginning at Broadway and ending at Charles Street.
This is the second phase of infrastructure improvements on 11th Street. Fehr Graham designed water main along 11th Street from Harrison Avenue to 15th Avenue during the first phase. For the project's first phase, Fehr Graham completed design and construction observation for water main along 11th Street from Harrison Avenue to 15th Avenue.
A third phase, which will be handled by the Illinois Department of Transportation, will address 11th Street from Harrison Avenue south just past Sandy Hollow Road.
