National Engineers Week: Inspire wonder in young people

Mick Gronewold, one of Fehr Graham's eight owners, writes for the Rockford (Illinois) Register Star at the start of National Engineers Week about the importance of encouraging children to be curious and solve problems.

"Engineering is exciting for anyone who enjoys figuring out how things work and building a better version because it involves pushing the limits. It forces creativity in unexpected places, and it brings challenges — sometimes significant — that when solved is satisfying. In the age of innovation, engineers must contribute so much. Overcoming challenges is perhaps one of engineering’s biggest rewards."
