Last weekend, Tyler Olson got a true bird’s-eye view of some of his projects. Tyler, an engineer who works in our Manchester, Iowa, office, took a 10-minute helicopter ride in a “Huey” Bell UH-1 Iroquois. The United States Military began using the Huey in the 1950s for many things, including medical evacuation, command and control, and air assault. The Huey came from Alabama to Manchester, Iowa, for weekend tours.
“I got the unique chance to be in a flying museum,” Tyler said. “This was my first time in a helicopter and getting the bonus of seeing some projects I have worked on from this view was awesome.”
