Fehr Graham, a leading Midwest engineering and environmental firm, is proud to announce that five high school students received the Fehr Graham Scholarship.
In its first year, the 58 students applied for the scholarship, which awards $2,500 to five high school seniors who live near any of Fehr Graham's offices in Illinois, Iowa and Wisconsin.
The 2024 winners graduated from high schools in Illinois and Wisconsin. They are:
Cha Chia Chen, Adalai E. Stevenson High School in Lincolnshire, Illinois. She plans to pursue a degree in Environmental Engineering at Cornell University.
Marshal Groves, Pecatonica (Illinois) High School. He plans to study Mechanical Engineering at Iowa State University and aspires to make a difference in his community.
Catelyn Schleyer, Geneva (Illinois) Community High School. She plans to attend the Colorado School of Mines, majoring in Mechanical Engineering and minoring in Humanitarian Engineering.
Drew Sertle, Albany (Wisconsin) High School. He plans to study Civil Engineering and minor in Land Surveying at the University of Wisconsin-Platteville with the hopes of working in Project Management in construction or surveying.
Angela Wang, Adalai E. Stevenson High School. She plans to major in Sustainable Environmental Design at UC Berkeley's College of Environmental Design. She hopes to leverage her interdisciplinary skill set to integrate nature into human-built infrastructure and build green urban spaces.
The Fehr Graham Scholarship launched in 2023, the firm's 50th year in business, as a way to celebrate and support students pursuing careers in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM). The scholarship is renewable for up to three years.
