The $800,000 Multipurpose, Assessment and Cleanup Grant will help Dubuque expand, redevelop or reuse properties where there could be hazardous contaminants. City officials hope to target the downtown district, which includes South Port and the Washington and North End neighborhoods. These areas include manufacturing and industrial land.

Dubuque is among 149 communities that received EPA grants this week. This award represents a major step in transforming and redeveloping contaminated properties in the city, which has been a longtime client of Fehr Graham.
