Anna Derocher becomes Certified Professional Services Marketer

Fehr Graham, a leading Midwest engineering and environmental firm, announced today that Anna Derocher passed the exam to earn the designation of Certified Professional Services Marketer (CPSM) from the Society of Marketing Professional Services (SMPS).

This accomplishment has been a personal goal and an important step in Derocher's professional career. She spent two decades as a journalist before joining Fehr Graham in 2017 as Marketing Manager.

"When Anna said she wanted to accomplish this goal, I knew she would make it happen. I'm thrilled for her and can't wait to see her continue to improve the firm to better serve our clients," said Todd Shankland, the firm's Chief Financial Officer. "Anna is disciplined and perseveres through whatever she sets her mind to, and this designation is a sign of her commitment to this industry."

The rigorous, three-hour exam sets the standard of excellence for marketing and business development professionals in the architecture, engineering and construction industry. According to SMPS, individuals who are CPSMs demonstrate their ongoing commitment to the industry, and their ability to perform in all Six Domains of Marketing, criteria recognized by many professional service firms. This voluntary certification program is designed to raise the professional standards and stature of marketing professionals, encourage self-assessment by offering guidelines for achievement in the profession, identify and award recognition to those who have demonstrated knowledge of the practice and influence the profession's future direction.

Since Derocher joined Fehr Graham, she has led significant marketing initiatives that align with the firm's rapid growth, including the recently reimagined and redesigned fehrgraham.com website.

She is a 1998 graduate of Winona State University where she earned a bachelor's degree in Mass Communication. Anna volunteers with SMPS Chicago as a member of the Communications Committee, United Way of Rock River Valley's Move the Middle Committee, Crusader Clinic Foundation Spirit of Caring Awards Committee and Winnebago County Animal Services. She and her husband, Edward Geeser, live in Rockford with sons Luke and Abe.
