Former Pillsbury plant closer to demolition

Fehr Graham is helping regenerate one of the largest brownfield sites in central Illinois. The Pillsbury plant on the north side of Springfield closed 20 years ago but left behind 20 buildings on 18 acres that cause neighborhood dangers and struggles for the 12,000 people who live within a mile.

Ridding this blight will stabilize the community and allow it to rise when free from environmental hazards. Over the next three to five years, we'll be there every step of the way as this land is revitalized.

In this interview with Illinois Times, Fehr Graham Principal Joel Zirkle explains the process.
