Nate Kass joins ownership group

Fehr Graham, a leading Midwest engineering and environmental firm, is proud to announce the addition of Nate Kass to the ownership team. Kass will continue managing the firm’s Cedar Rapids office.

In 2013, Kass joined Fehr Graham, where he focuses on leading projects that make the quality of life better in the Cedar Rapids area. He worked with the City of Cedar Rapids to make 1,100 crosswalk ramps on the southwest side compliant with a Department of Justice mandate, enabling access for all. His team designed and engineered Cubby Park, a three-diamond baseball and softball facility, in West Branch, helping improve recreational opportunities in the City. Kass and his team also were the lead engineers on the Coggon Wastewater Treatment Plant project, helping the community protect its water quality.

Kass serves as secretary of the Cedar Rapids Sunrise Rotary Club. He is actively involved with the Marion Economic Development Corp. and the Cedar Rapids Metro Economic Alliance. He serves on the Iowa Construction Industry Forum, a joint committee of the American Institute of Architects, Master Builders of Iowa and American Council of Engineering Companies. He’s also a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers, American Water Works Association, Society of Land Surveyors of Iowa and American Council of Engineering Companies.

He is a graduate of Iowa State University, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering. Kass is a licensed Professional Engineer and Professional Land Surveyor.

Kass and his wife, Alison, live in Manchester with their three children.
