Fehr Graham, a leading Midwest engineering and environmental firm, announced that Ross Grimes is a Licensed Professional Geologist after recently passing the Association of State Board of Geology exam.

Grimes serves as Branch Manager for the firm’s Rockford, Illinois, office, where he oversees day-to-day operations while leading business development initiatives.

“I am excited and honored about this step in my career,” Grimes said. “I got started in this field because of my passion for problem-solving and understanding the world. I was able to accomplish the certification with a little determination and a lot of support from my family, friends and co-workers.”

Grimes will continue to lead environmental assessment teams and focus on providing excellent service to Fehr Graham clients throughout Illinois, Wisconsin and Iowa. He specializes in assessing and remediating hazardous substance and petroleum sites.

“This is simply more validation of Ross’ knowledge, skill and commitment to his work,” said Mick Gronewold, a Professional Engineer and Fehr Graham’s Board President. “He has forged strong relationships and has led some of our biggest environmental projects. As an emerging leader, Ross provides clients with a wealth of support, ability and experience.”

A Rockford native, Grimes joined Fehr Graham in July 2015. He earned a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Geoscience from Northern Illinois University.

Grimes and his wife, Alyssa, live in Rockton with their three children.
