Deuchler becomes Fehr Graham

Six months after merging with engineering and environmental firm Fehr Graham, Deuchler Engineering changed its name to Fehr Graham.

Deuchler Engineering, an engineering and environmental firm based in Aurora, joined Fehr Graham on Nov. 1.

Former Deuchler owners and Professional Engineers John Frerich and Mark Halm joined Fehr Graham because the firm focuses on providing value and innovative solutions to clients' problems like Deuchler did since its inception in 1916. For Fehr Graham, Deuchler matched well with the firm's strategic growth plan. The Aurora team added electrical engineering and ecological services to Fehr Graham and strengthened the firm's water and wastewater engineering and structural engineering.

"We've been very deliberate and thoughtful in our actions for the last six months to bring the best of the two firms together," said Mick Gronewold, Board Chairman and one of Fehr Graham's owners. "Combining our strengths to leverage our abilities to serve clients puts us in a strong position in the marketplace. Our commitment to improving the communities where our clients live and work will continue to be our mission."

Fehr Graham employs 186 people, 25 of whom work in the Aurora office at 230 Woodlawn Ave.
