Fehr Graham leads environmental remediation in Mendota

Fehr Graham is taking the lead in cleaning up the former Campbell Cleaners site in Mendota, Illinois. The City has secured nearly $1.3 million for this environmental remediation project. Environmental assessments completed in 2019 and 2020 confirmed the presence of hazardous chemicals, including volatile organic compounds and heavy metals related to former dry-cleaning operations. When the contamination was found, Fehr Graham worked with the City to develop a strategy for pursuing federal cleanup funding assistance, which led to a cleanup grant award in 2024. Work is set to begin this year, making way for Mendota's Pavilion on Main.
