Grand opening of Marion office a success

Fehr Graham, a leading Midwest engineering and environmental firm, celebrated the grand opening of its new Marion office at 103 Airway Drive, Suite 3, where Illinois Routes 148 and 13 meet.

The Marion Chamber of Commerce, local officials and others attended the ribbon-cutting and open house on April 20. Fehr Graham Senior Project Manager Andy Rainwater thanked local leaders and Fehr Graham owners for supporting the new office in southern Illinois.

"Fifty years ago two engineers decided to partner together rather than compete against one another," Rainwater said. "And it's that spirit of partnership, collaboration and dedication of service that has helped Fehr Graham grow."

Rainwater said it was important to have an office there to help continue to serve not only Marion, but the many surrounding communities.

More than 50 clients, local leaders and Fehr Graham employees attended the event.

We're excited to have another business come to Marion. This is proof of the growth that we are experiencing."

Marion Mayor Michael Absher thanked Fehr Graham for starting a business in the growing City.

"We're so pleased to have you here," Absher said.

He said it's key to have professional firms with family-centric values invest in Marion because their employees live in the community and contribute to the community.

"We so appreciate that," Absher said.
