John Conley promoted to Resident Engineer

Fehr Graham, a leading Midwest engineering and environmental firm, announced the promotion of John Conley to Resident Engineer.

Conley has worked for Fehr Graham since 2017 and serves as a lead field representative, overseeing construction administration. He reviews plans for constructability and field conflicts and coordinates with contractors and clients to resolve issues efficiently and minimize project impacts.

In his new role, Conley applies engineering judgment and field experience to improve constructability, support cost-effective solutions and reduce conflicts during construction. He works closely with project managers to streamline responses to field issues and tracks work and materials to support accurate and timely payments. Conley also mentors younger staff by sharing construction-phase knowledge and best practices to support professional growth and effective communication in the field.

Conley has experience with a variety of construction types, including wastewater treatment plants, buildings, sewer mains and lining, pump stations, water main replacement, sidewalks and paths, and highway reconstruction. His expertise also includes sewer flow monitoring, smoke testing and reviewing televised sewers for defects.

Conley, who works in the firm's Aurora, Illinois, office, earned an associate degree in Electronic Engineering Technology from ITT Technical Institute. He has professional certifications in PACP, LACP and MACP through NASSCO, ITCP-CIPP, Confined Space Entry and Documentation of Contract Quantities through the Illinois Department of Transportation.
