Yanel Jones promoted to Project Designer

Fehr Graham, a leading Midwest engineering and environmental firm, announced the promotion of Yanel Jones to Project Designer.

Jones joined Fehr Graham in 2006 in the firm's Rochelle, Illinois, office. She has more than a decade of experience supporting civil engineering projects, including transportation, water distribution and treatment, and sanitary sewer collection and treatment. In her new role, she takes a larger role in the design process and applies her advanced knowledge of software and design concepts to complete projects.

Jones develops detailed engineering plans using computer-aided design platforms, including AutoCAD Civil 3D and MicroStation GeoPAK. She uses ESRI Geographic Information System software and provides GIS integration and mapping services. In addition to design, Jones helps junior engineers understand design concepts and procedures as they develop their own projects.

Jones earned an associate of applied science degree in Architectural Design from Kishwaukee College and an associate of science from Sauk Community College. She is pursuing a bachelor's degree in Water and Soil Science from Northern Illinois University
